John Kinsella follows Alice Oswald’s footsteps in stepping down from the Forward Prize in protest against its being sponsored by an investment management firm. Oswald, who pulled her collection Memorial from the prize on Tuesday, believes that “poetry should be questioning not endorsing such institutions”.
